We create wellness through science
Keyton is a Spanish family company specialized in Human Comfort Engineering – precision engineering applied to the comfort of the human body in two strategic industries: Wellness and Marine Wellness.
Keyton was founded in 1989 by Enrique Cantó. Today, the second generation leads the industrial development of the company. with the same commitment that gave rise to it: to manufacture products that improve people’s quality of life, both on land and at sea.
With more than 35 years of experience in the wellness industry and more than 25 years in the marine industry, Keyton manufactures professional massage chairs and loungers, and First Class seats with electric recline, massage and genuine natural leather upholstery for ferries, fast ferries and high-speed vessels. More than 9,000 seats are currently in operation – including more than 1,800 units on state-of-the-art fast ferries certified by RINA under HSC 2000 Code, Annex 10.
Ergonomics applied to the naval sector
The Institute of Biomechanics of Valencia, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valencia and the Biomedical Neuroengineering Research Group of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche verified the results of Keyton’s research in applied ergonomics – subsequently transferred to the design of First Class ferry and fast ferry seats to maximize passenger comfort on long crossings.
Human Comfort Engineering – the same scientific knowledge, applied to two industries.
